Fresh off supplying a smart debut winner at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Monday, Varsfontein Stud’s inform sire Master Of My Fate was at it again when he came up with three winners on Hollywoodbets Durbanville’s seven race card on Tuesday.
The Eric Sands-trained Numzaan kicked off the Master Of My Fate treble when he won the third race on the card.
Under Grant Van Niekerk, the gelded three-year-old stormed home to win Tuesday’s RaceCape Powered by Hollywoodbets Maiden Plate (1400m) by nearly half a length.
Bred by Ndoro Stud, Numzaan was making his fifth start on Tuesday, with Numzaan making his first start at Durbanville on Tuesday.
Out of the Western Winter mare Zephira, Numzaan was an R600 000 buy from the 2021 November Two Year Old Sale.
Master Of My Fate fillies dominated the finish to Tuesday’s fourth race, the Bet With Tab Class 4 (F&M) (2000m), where three-year-old Supreme Dream bested her year older paternal half-sister Peut Etre Moi to score by a long neck.
Trained by Brett Crawford, Supreme Dream was well ridden by Keagan De Melo, who bought his mount with a sustained late run which saw the pair get up in the shadow of the post and score by a long neck.
Bred and owned by Mr Bailes, Supreme Dream, who broke her maiden in Tuesday’s race, is out of the Western Winter mare Supreme Sunset.
Master Of My Fate’s third success on Tuesday came when his Glen Puller-trained daughter Senhora Victoria claimed the sixth race at Durbanville. Under Ossie Noach, the four-year-old stayed on strongly to win the Cape Turf Club Class 5 (F&M) (1400m) by half a length.
A full-sister to the useful Luna Eclipse, Senhora Victoria was making it back-to-back wins with the filly having broken her maiden last time out.
Her sire Master Of My Fate is having another fine season and is currently fourth on the General Sires List for 2022-2023.
