Klawervlei Stud’s European champion Twice Over has been firing on all cylinders in recent weeks, with the four time G1 winner represented by winners week in and week out.
The charismatic champion was once again to the fore at Greyville on Sunday, when his beautifully bred three-year-old daughter Moon In June shed her maiden with a minimum of fuss.

Bred and owned by Bernard Kantor, the Robbie/Shannon Hill trained Moon In June was geared down by Anton Marcus to post a five length score over 1600m, and could hardly have been more impressive.

The filly has now won or placed in all four of her races.

Moon In June shares her increasingly successful sire Twice Over with such smart fillies as G1 contender Second Request, G3 Umzimkhulu Stakes runner up Twice As Smart, and the classy stakes performer On The Double.

The former European star made a huge impression with his first crop producing Equus Champion and multiple G1 winner Do It Again, G1 Tsogo Sun Gold Medallion victor Sand And Sea, and triple graded stakes winner Doublemint, who recently downed a high class field to win the G2 Glorious Goodwood Peninsula Handicap.

Twice Over, also responsible for recent Selangor Jet Master Stakes hero Run Red, has four yearlings on offer at this month’s Cape Yearling Sale including a filly (Lot 58) whose four time winning dam is a ¾ sister to G1 winner Happy Landing, and a filly (Lot 128) whose dam is a 3 time winning of champion US sire Elusive Quality.
