Moutonshoek’s red hot sire The United States struck again at the mid-week meeting, when the son of Galileo supplied two winners, from just three runners, at Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Wednesday.

The United States’ first success on Wednesday came when his Ricky Maingard trained daughter Red State won the Race Coast Incentives Powered By Hollywoodbets D Stakes (1800m). Under Varun Jodhee, the four-year-old filly ran on strongly from off the pace, to get up and win by a length.
Bred by Moutonshoek, Red State is owned by Messrs D K Bundhoo & Ricky Maingard & Mrs M M M Bundhoo.
Out of the Mambo In Seattle mare Always Red, Red State has won two of her last four starts.

The United States’ second success on Wednesday came when his son Prairie Dawn ran out a convincing winner of the seventh and final race. The Justin Snaith trained three-year-old appeared unlikely to get a clear run in the Hollywoodbets Bright Future Class 4 (1600m) but dug down deep to get up and win by a neck.
Bred by Dr Thomson, Prairie Dawn has won two of six starts and has been unplaced just once.
Owned by Nick Jonsson, the gelding is out of the Miesque’s Approval mare Break Of Dawn.
