Varsfontein Stud’s homebred sire Master Of My Fate is the sire of classy Zimbabwe-based filly Coffeeberry. The latter made it a feature race double on Saturday when she claimed the Listed The Round Table Zimbabwe Oaks, run at Borrowdale Park.
The three-year-old had won the Pam Golding Properties Zimbabwe Derby last time out to stamp herself as one of the top three-year-olds racing in Zimbabwe this season.
Trained by Bridget Stidolph, Coffeeberry stormed home, under Kevin Derere, to claim the 2023 ZImbabwe Oaks by a length and a half.

The daughter of Master Of My Fate has now won four times for her connections.
Bred by John Slade, Coffeeberry is out of the Count Dubois mare Mochalette.
She is one of a growing number of stakes-winning daughters of Master Of My Fate, with this number including the G1 winners Sentbydestiny and Zarina as well as 2023 G2 Wilgerbosdrift Gauteng Fillies Guineas winner Lady Of Power.
Sire of 21 stakes winners (and a further 29 stakes horses), Master Of My Fate has 12 lots on offer at the 2023 August Two Year Old Sale, including colts out of past G1 Golden Slipper winners Bilateral and For The Lads.
